I hope that you are having a wonderful summer holiday (despite the erratic weather patterns we have been experiencing) and are keeping well and happy. It has been a bustling summer here in Glastonbury with plenty of visitors to be seen out and about enjoying and exploring the local sites. We've had plenty of events happening here including an incredible 40th Anniversary Glastonbury Festival with Gorillaz, Muse and Stevie Wonder spreading the good word, the colourful Goddess Conference and The Cosmic Sound Experience 2010. The highlight for me this summer was hearing our friend Zoe play a Cello Solo with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. The Glastonbury Extravaganza is always an entertaining evening out in August, perfect to enjoy with friends over a picnic and glass of wine and followed by impressive fireworks (which are always good to see from the Tor)


Glastonbury Festival 2010

On occassions such as a Solstice, Equinox, an Eclipse or Full Moon, Glastonbury Tor (still) attracts a miriad of people who gather to honour the exsquisite creation of nature, by whatever name or means it may be called by each. From our garden we can often hear the sounds of the drumming and chanting, music and singing, calling and praying, and can smell the insence and see the prayer lanterns as they float brightly through the sky. I often think how lucky I am to live in a place of such long spiritual tradition (of one kind of another) and to still have this connection with spirit and the natural cycles of life honoured by those who presently live here and walk these hills. I'm loving working here too; I'm thoroughly enjoying meeting new clients and seeing again those who've come back for repeat treatments. It's nice to witness the person leaving looking more relaxed and refreshed than when they arrived, and usually looking younger! (especially after a facial or Japanese face massage). Meeting so many people from different backgrounds and with different challenges, I am constantly reminded of how resilient and truly awesome People are.

The Healing Weekend takes place at the Chalice Well this bank holiday weekend, Saturday 28, Sunday 29 & Monday 30 August ~ 10.00 - 17.00, and I am delighted to say I will be joining the therapists and offering Chakra Balance and TsuboKi (Japanese Face Massage). The Chalice Well Gardens provides the perfect tranquil sanctuary for the healing of body, mind and soul. With 19 therapies on offer at only £10.00 per half hour session this is an opportunity to experience a range of alternative therapies and learn more about what they have to offer. Normal admission to the gardens applies. Therapy sessions are only bookable on the day (bookings for morning sessions takes place at 10am, for afternoon sessions booking take place at 1pm.) All therapists are fully qualified and insured. Refreshments will be on sale between 10am & 5pm each day. Maybe see you there!

Relax Kids classes run once a week in St. Mary’s Hall in Glastonbury, Thursdays 4- 5pm. Children are welcome to drop in - the class is open to boys & girls aged 3 - 10, £2.50 per class.RELAX Magazine is available to read online. You may also like to check out theRelax Kids range of CD's for children - ' Believe & Achieve' CD is a perfect gift for children this September, helping them prepare to achieve this academic year.

Our friends Anni and Cindy from Naturally Universal have been keeping busy and created a beautiful e-zine Universal e-times which you may like to check out, as well as theNaturally Universal Conscious Community. Anni runsMelody's approved courses, which I have attended many times!, and will be holding courses in the Chalice Well in Glastonbury this October. I can highly recommend the course which couldn't be held in a more stunning venue.
 
    We were honoured to have The Maori Healers visit Glastonbury this summer and to experience some amazing treatments in our garden! We are delighted to hear that they will be in London next week and available for Bodywork sessions at Brondesbury Park from 29th August - 6th September. The Maori Healers bodywork is deep and they work with you to clear out old energies that no longer serve you. They practise a powerful ancient healing art passed down from generation to generation in their home Aotearoa, New Zealand. Maori Healers visit Glastonbury June 1st - 10th

Maori Healers from Aotearoa New Zealand, are the living works of Ancestral teachings, drawing from ancient practises of the Tohunga that clear, release and energise ones entire being. My husband, I and a friend of ours went to see them when we were in Los Angeles recently; we heard they were offering bodywork sessions in a beautiful setting in Topanga and we all had incredibly powerful treatments. We were delighted to hear they were visiting Glastonbury on their upcoming UK tour and we look forward to welcoming them to this ancient place of time and space. And we are immensely looking forward to experiencing more of their energetic massage. There is a possibility the Maori Healers may offer a workshop, so please email me if you would like to attend.
